North Korea at Tucson's GDOP

Where: U of A Mall (just east of 'Old Main')
When: Sunday, May 23rd from 6:30-9pm

The purpose of the Global Day of Prayer is to have a time of Repentance and Prayer, with two main themes:
(1) Humble intercession for our city based on 2 Chronicles 7:14.
(2) Opportunity to connect believers for prayer and kingdom transformation.

Special Activities for children!
Rally your group of children to represent and pray for a country, people group or city issue. Creatively plan and make a prayer banner or collage. Then join in the prayer parade to the main stage at 7:15pm. Kids, come ready to get your prayer passports stamped at the prayer stations from 6:15-7:15! A few children will pray from the mic and and all will pray for the children! The childrens time will close by 7:45 with a rallying song!, so that any who have school the next day can freely leave, call Mike at 520-488-9501 with any questions.

Reverent Corporate Prayer: While the children are praying for the world in the passport area, the adults and youth are invited to pray in small groups near the main stage. We will humble ourselves before God and interecede on behalf of the church.

Prepare for action! After the children finish, we will honor some young people who are making kingdom impact and then pray for a multiplying of workers to encourage them on! Then, everyone will be invited to visit the prayer/connect stations below to meet and pray with those who have a heart for similar issues in our city and the world. Pray and join with others for kingdom impact!

Monday Meeting Notes (2/28/10)

Please continue to lift up prayers for Robert's complete healing and restoration.

During last Monday's meeting we joined the prayer team of the NK Freedom Coalition led by Suzanne Scholte. The "conference call-prayer time" was a true blessing. It helped us to be connected to brothers and sisters from around the country. Suzanne also shared the specifics of what happened in DC on the day of the rally and how Robert was brought safely to LA. God's protection was certainly over Robert.

She also announced a "NK Freedom March" in Seoul during the week of April 25- May 1 and asked for the churches to be in fervent prayer over this.

The International Christian Concern (www.persecution.org) an advocacy group in DC for the persecuted church worldwide has decided to make NK a focus. They can bring worldwide attention through assistance, advocacy and awareness. They are currently seeking ways to have NK refugees to provide testimony on Capitol Hill...Praise God for how He is moving!

Our next meeting will be on March 15th at 5 PM at KPCT.

Please spread the word regarding the Prayer Rally at Tucson True Light Church on March 25th at 7 PM. We will have flyers prepared to pass out at churches.

A Prayer

I was really blessed by this prayer from LaVerne...I hope you will be too!

"Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from every evil for thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever and ever. Amen.

"Heavenly Father, we, as one in Christ, come before your throne of grace bringing Robert to you asking for your grace and mercy to restore his life--his mind, his physical body, and the spirit within him that is joined to you. In Jesus' name and for his sake we ask you to cast out every evil spirit that has invaded Robert. Rebuke the devil and make known to Robert by your Holy Spirit that he belongs to you and you only for your purposes of good to him for your own glory. Envelope him right now in your arms and speak words of love to him--that you will never forsake him or leave him alone. Bring all your words of promise hidden in his heart to his remembrance that he may be comforted. Guard his life on all sides; may your angels keep watch over him to protect him from any further harm. Calm him as you rise up in him giving him assurance that your power and your will always prevail. Lord Jesus, we thank you that all power has been given into your hands, and in your hands nothing can separate us from God's love. Grant Robert rest and peace in the knowledge that we can do nothing apart from our Father's will as we seek to be his instruments of hope, truth, and love. Thank you, LORD GOD for your assurance that where sin abounds, grace abounds more.

"LORD, you have told us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. We boldly ask in Jesus' name and for his sake that you rebuke every demonic power in the ruling authorities in NK beginning with Kim Jong IL. Thank you, Jesus, that you desire that we loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke, to share our food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter, and when we see the naked to clothe him.

"LORD, we know that apart from you we can do nothing. All power is yours, so we pray you to turn the hearts of the Chinese government and their officials to turn in mercy toward all refugees giving them safe harbor. LORD, we know nothing is too hard for you.

"LORD, continue to encourage and strengthen your people to rise up in mass the world over to proclaim freedom for those held in bondage. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Thank you, Jesus, that you are in our midst praying with us and for us in accordance with your will. May it be done completely. Amen."

Prayer Rally

250 of our South Korean brothers and sisters turned out for the Rally for North Korea on February 25th in Seoul. Our Tucson rally was also a great success: hundreds turned out to pray & rally. We handed out 450 tshirts and 4,000 fliers. It was a valiant effort, but our work is not done until the oppression in North Korea ends. We will be meeting on March 25th at 7pm at Tucson True Light Church for a prayer rally. Please join us!
